What you should know about me?

Reading an article in Times life dated Sept, 9th 2012 I thought this should be shared with you all. I request all my readers to give this article a thought and do share in form of comments what you all feel.

We all live in the fear of world laughing at us. In German, the word is “schadenfreude” meaning “the pleasure one derives from misfortune of others”. We mistake it to be our good soul’s empathy which is in reality the pleasure. When one slips in a mall it is not the physical fall that hurts us. It is rather the amusing stares people give to you that make us lose our self-control.

There are many feelings and emotions we want others to feel about us but amusement at our expense is certainly not on the list. The opposite of “schadenfreude” is the Buddhist concept of “mudita” meaning “Happiness in the fortune of others”.

If we look back even as kids we tried to manipulate the way world looked at us. As simple as crying aloud with no tears in eyes meant our wishes to be fulfilled: P Well such is the significance attached to it.

Now coming to the centre stage. Each one of us desire and want others to feel and know certain things about us. Talking about me I would want people to know and consider that I am a Frank person. Do not expect me to be one of those wonderful actors who can pretend to be happy when they are not or find the conversation amusing when it is not really. My expression says it on the face that “Dude! Your company is boring” or “you do not know your subject. Don’t try to fool around!” Although these days I am trying to avoid being so explicit because soon it’s going to be the management world I’ll be stepping into.

Secondly, I am the weirdest creature who is lost between practicality and emotions J Clearly I do not like interference in my personal life from people who are “nothing more than strangers”. Let’s talk business and end it there. At the same time I want my close ones to understand that I am not devoid of emotions. Honestly I am much more emotional than people around me expect from me.

Next I hate gossips. I do not want people to talk at my back of something which is not true. So I do not like doing the same with others. I have enough in my life to keep me engaged. So please do not expect me to smile back at you and update you with 10other stories.

Lastly I cannot stay long without spending time alone. Some people prefer retrospecting while talking to others.  Some want to do it alone. I fall in the latter category.  This brings to the surface the fact that I keep certain things only to myself. I cannot share it with the closest person also. So far people close to me have respected and accepted that and I owe a “thank you” to them. Well who they are, they know it!

So dear blog friends, what is on your list that people around should know, take care of and accept??? In every individual’s book there are a few things that cannot be stated to people around every time but you want them to consider.

Learning’s of Life & Death

She was the most powerful women I knew personally. Everyone thought twice before speaking to her. I personally was shit scared at her sight when I was a child. She was “Bai” for us and “Kamala devi Laddha” for rest - my grandmother. The lady who travelled at the age of 40 also on his son’s bike for hours together, the one who walked down the road alone at night to ensure safety of her farm growing’s, she was often metaphored with  Indira Gandhi.  On 18th of April, the strong lady’s soul left her body to continue on another journey. The text message brought tears into my eyes and I left for office.

As I went home this weekend the Pooja room where she spent maximum of her time looked deserted without her. Her photo frame on wall questioned my thoughts I had put together so far as learning’s from Brahmakumaris – Sister Shivani says this life journey is not the beginning and end of all. It is a very small part of the large journey as a soul. Our soul change costumes and this is just one of them we have got. Do not be sad when a soul leaves the body. It is just that all accounts with the relationships developed in this life were settled. Now is the time to begin new settlements, influence new lives.  It was time for THEM to move on and for their well- being YOU have to accept it.

Just like a relationship between mother and a son – where the son is living abroad – mother says everything’s is fine to keep son away from all troubles. Why? Because mother wants the son to be happy. Similarly we show our love in different relationships in different ways even though we may be miles apart. We think we are together only with physical presence or ability to communicate via technology. She emphasizes it’s not true. A soul remembers past life, remembers you, loves you – but is not able to contact you. By crying and mourning, you’re making things difficult for them. They would be reminded of pain and suffering of their loved ones (you) and will not be able to start their new journey peacefully. Remember them, but always remember with a smile. Recollecting this I smiled seeing her photo remembering how I took my careful steps into the room when I visited her.

Together with me, blogdosts, pray – May her soul rest in peace with a Smile!!!

Which cage you belong to?

Found this best put article in the impressive employee magazine that my hands lay on while working. It can be accepted with a pinch of salt or rejected in arrogance.Choice is ours!

No Exception!!!
Sometimes it's hard to see which side of the cage we are in. it's even harder to understand if we are actually on the better side of the cage. But caged we are nonetheless. Cages come in different sizes and shapes. Some we built around ourselves and some are built by the society into which we voluntarily get into. And all we do is to perpetually shift from one cage to another as the days go by.

We all are ambitious. Aren't we? We need our houses big and relationship ties small. Based on how much money we make, we buy a house and put all our heart and soul into beautifying it. The house represents how big we dreamt and what we have achieved. The neatly laid out dinner table with four crafted chairs seldom makes us realise its emptiness. The beautiful couch in the living room makes us wonder as to where will we get the people to sit on them.

The first one I want to own

Our roads are becoming wider while the parking lots are shrinking. Owning a set of wheels, for most of us, is a lifetime wish. Our friendly neighborhood car salesman gives us more reason than not to stretch our budget and go for that one car which we find hard to buy. But we still give into temptation and buy the car only to realise that we can hardly stretch our legs. We keep trying to figure out if the two extra wheels "reserve" more space for us on the road or has it shrunk into a smaller cage than we initially were in - the whole wide world.

These are not the only things we cage ourselves or others in. Our religion, our gods, our beliefs, our relationships, jealousy, arrogance, ignorance, possessiveness are a few to name...When a relationship turns sour between lovers, they break-up with the conviction that being separate would be better. If this be teh case then wonder why is it called "breaking up" and not "setting free"? Why then do they spend rest of their lives caging themselves in thoughts and memories of the things that went wrong in the relationship?

         Once a picture perfect

We hurt our loved ones and then look up for forgiveness from him, who more often than not, silently watches us commit sins. In the captivity of our beliefs, we hold our minds and feelings hostage so much that we share our food with the ones whom we don't share our beliefs. As someone rightly said, "Humans are engineered for success but programmed for failure"

Not preferring to end the post on a sad note - Here's a solution to it -

Make Your Life A Reason To Smile :)

My Favorite Badge Always with me

The life is mystic
The relations are so vague
You laugh at one moment
And to the next you weep
The existence of God is mysterious
Still we say we believe in miracles
You are blessed with successes
Still you grumble for what you lost
You're privileged with today
Then what makes you think of past
You did the sins
Then whom are you lying
So come on, get up
It's time to rise high
Make yourself active to do something fine
The life would end one day
Make it a reason to SMILE.

A Geek?

Still wide awake at 11:45pm, i find pleasure in taking this up as last part of my long day's activities before i call it off.

I woke up with an alarm ringing at 6:30 am. Did the morning chores by 7 am, picked up few photocopies, my laptop, a marker, a notebook, filled the bottle with water and slipped into my bed just to be comfortable while studying. I started flipping through the pages and suddenly things started looking interesting. The subjects are isn’t that bad. It’ s true I have no other option but to study just before the exams, but liking to study is a different feeling. Yes, I feel like a geek and I am liking to be feeling so ..:)

What to do..:):):)

With the bed scattered with soft toys, books, marker, pens, laptop – I feel like being home but with the exception of rounds of noises to clear the bed (Maaa). As they say, a smile after shedding tears is more pleasing, a success after facing a failure gives more satisfaction. Similarly a day of studying after weeks of parties, farewell, few ****ed up presentations and disgusting encounters is filling in the vacuum of discontent.

Waiting for a few things to happen quicklyJ will keep updating you all!

P.S: “Iamvijender” is going to love this and will have lots to sayJ

JLT

Well,well,well...I don't know what to write but still i want to write..:)That's the addiction to this place. Or is the effect of Exams..:P So I want to write JLT - Just Like That.

Just Like That

Listening to the songs of HAHK, HDDCS, DDLJ.....etc(i know too much of acronyms here) after a long long long time, makes me feel good. The melodious voice of veterans like Lata mangeshkar spreads the feelings from ears to the heart. And i am happy to know that my heart feels connected to the family, friends and loved ones miles apart right this moment.

Uhhuu Uhhuu

It brings me back the astonishment it had brought up few years back. Remember the summer vacation gathering of the family (Ref Post: Small Town Girl). One of my cousin that time was just 7 years old. And she was a die hard fan of Salman Khan. She supposedly watched the movie HAHK(Hum Aapke Hain Kaun) 20times. You can guess what would the response of cousin of same age group be. Everyone thought she was bluffing and when the movie was started she could tell the dialog from the movie from start till end. Aaahhh!!! Some actions done are crazy but worthwhile to be recollected when you grow up.

Pls Don't Stop The Music

Technological innovations has brought about innumerable ways of connecting to the world. Simple phone call, msg to social networks of FB and Gtalk and more real life including Skype bla bla. Still my heart goes out for "Music".

Don't blame me for the overdose of acronyms. I am the most technologically challenged person and i have my MIS exam tomorrow and i am breaking my head with the non-interpretable ones. This is one of my way of saying to myself - Not all short form are hard to decry-pt and interpret.  Now you can figure out the cause of drifting away from.......So Just KISS - Keep It Simple Silly.

Google search result for SILLY

P.S: MIS - Managing Information System..:) Thank You for bearing this..:P
