It’s Captain Jack Sparrow and John Mc Clane

Valentine disclosure

Woho! I hereby declare my valentine/s for this year. Yes you read it right. Aye.  It’s Captain Jack Sparrow and sir John Mc Clane. Do not miss the first’s. So, what is it with you all this valentine? Read quite a few beautiful write ups on “love” and valentine. For me love is anything that can keep me engaged. So this year these two heroic characters have taken my time with friends, food and sleep on time and have enraged me to do the same in real life. Of course last one is exaggeration.

Legendary

I have been staring into the screen for 2hrs 2 and half hours, feeling the thump and the emotion. As the ship is sailing calmly with the wind my eyes widen, for there has to be a topple next or small boats appearing around. And then I repeat it and shout loud “Awesome” , “Bloody hell” to get stares from the people passing in the corridor if I had forgotten to close the door. That’s how my date was with captain Jack Sparrow watching Pirates of Caribbean series. I fell for his style of walking and dialog delivery. It has that pirate touch and feel. The best each time was the “Entry” of captain. Aahh!!! It stole my heart time and again. It was more and more legendary each time and also raised my anxiety in the 3rd sequel when it was delayed.

Heroic

While I was still having dreams of being Elizabeth Swan and “aye” captain sparrow around, I met a new hero. Sir John Mc Clane. His movie seires “Die Hard” is supposedly a “Must Watch Movie” in guys list at least. When I expressed my smitten love for the movie and its direction, girls gave an annoyed look. Hehe. In this series, there is this hero Sir, Mc Clane and a person just like us. How things change in one’s life and its aftermath are depicted with beauty. Each sequel gets better and better. My favourite is the Die Hard 2(airport). The story line is amazing. It can all happen in real life and just around you. For the first time I got a different angle of looking at an airport, Wall Street, or FBI. The action sequences with mostly logical and not heroic counterattack make me take a bow. Although it is an action packed movie, it did drive home certain beautiful points about relationships. Be it with stranger or wife or daughter.

Well I got my valentine for this year and also certain insights about myself.
·        -->  I love watching movies that can keep me on my toes. Do not show me the expected.

·         --> I am not the “chic-flick” buyer who would like to spare money and time to enjoy a movie over popcorn with no crank to brain.
·
-    Nor do I like the idea of watching a movie only once. All the movies on my favourite list have been watched and enjoyed more than before.

·         --> I like Bollywood’s brainless rather than Hollywood’s I am sophisticated.

·        --> My brain does not respond to the quickness of dialogs of Hollywood. In short I need subtitles

Looks like I am giving take away for someone who would want to be my next valentine. Aaahh!!!

Wishing you all a very happy and enjoyful Valentine 2012.

JLT

Well,well,well...I don't know what to write but still i want to write..:)That's the addiction to this place. Or is the effect of Exams..:P So I want to write JLT - Just Like That.

Just Like That

Listening to the songs of HAHK, HDDCS, DDLJ.....etc(i know too much of acronyms here) after a long long long time, makes me feel good. The melodious voice of veterans like Lata mangeshkar spreads the feelings from ears to the heart. And i am happy to know that my heart feels connected to the family, friends and loved ones miles apart right this moment.

Uhhuu Uhhuu

It brings me back the astonishment it had brought up few years back. Remember the summer vacation gathering of the family (Ref Post: Small Town Girl). One of my cousin that time was just 7 years old. And she was a die hard fan of Salman Khan. She supposedly watched the movie HAHK(Hum Aapke Hain Kaun) 20times. You can guess what would the response of cousin of same age group be. Everyone thought she was bluffing and when the movie was started she could tell the dialog from the movie from start till end. Aaahhh!!! Some actions done are crazy but worthwhile to be recollected when you grow up.

Pls Don't Stop The Music

Technological innovations has brought about innumerable ways of connecting to the world. Simple phone call, msg to social networks of FB and Gtalk and more real life including Skype bla bla. Still my heart goes out for "Music".

Don't blame me for the overdose of acronyms. I am the most technologically challenged person and i have my MIS exam tomorrow and i am breaking my head with the non-interpretable ones. This is one of my way of saying to myself - Not all short form are hard to decry-pt and interpret.  Now you can figure out the cause of drifting away from.......So Just KISS - Keep It Simple Silly.

P.S: MIS - Managing Information System..:) Thank You for bearing this..:P

Lost Bottle, Broken Glasses.....

Oh yes! One month already into 2012 too..:) Is time flying just for me..? Life seems to be taking me on a roller-coaster whose pace my senses are failing to keep up with. Last weekend i was in Pune. That place has something captivating for me at least. I fell in love with the place when i visited the first time. I continue to be captive of the place. It sends out a message to its visitors -

"Don't think we are behind in comparison to metros. We have some very renowned personalities, places and institutes running across the lanes. At the same time, we assure of peace and tranquillity which is often missing in metros."

The place is a perfect blend of business and stay with touch of beauty, sensitivity and comfort. Never must have i travelled with such ease using the local buses or trains in my own city. This place is always on my cards for settling in future.

I have grown old but my habits have become only more etched to me J My not so good habits which always landed me with scolding’s for being ignorant and careless. I realise now how these things are taking toll on me with no one around to set me right..:)

Dare you mess with my glasses!

1. It’s close to one month I broke my intellectual red glasses. I was never so fond of seeing myself with glasses until I got myself this pair. It gives me a matured look and prevents me from the uneasiness of having to wear lenses. Hoping to get them repaired by this weekend. (All thanks to the non-proximity of campus to good optical shops)

Meri Pyaari Bottle

2. Second most precious thing with me on campus – My bottle. I think in this respect people around me are missing it equally for the reason that I was their water supplier in class. I have left them with friends who visited goa two weeks ago. I have been assured of a courier delivery. Awaiting for the same eagerly.

3. I am missing my 90W laptop charger since 5months..:) It got exchanged with someone’s 60W on campus. My laptop has faced the consequences twice in spite of being as new as 7months old. I still need to figure out the person.

3. I haven’t shopped for myself since 4-5 months. Although I am not fond of shopping, but wardrobe update is a must for me. I am tired of seeing the same old clothes and I need to get my cupboard right before April. I might visit home bhai for this reason..:P
Suited Best on my Wrist:)
4. This missing agenda reminds me of one more thing – My Lost Red Watch – It was the most precious gift I had received on my birthday. I have no idea when or where I have misplaced. There is no hope of getting back the same and I haven’t worn a watch after that.

Apart from these tangible things that are missing and keeping me uneasy (still I am lazy enough not to do anything about itJ), I am missing the fights with mom for TV remote, permission of dad over a night out and “A secretive smoke” with brother..:P Ooops was I not supposed to let out the last one..?Hehe…

Keep smiling friends..:)

Most Adorable Couple

P.S: My mom and dad’s journey completes 26 cherish able years this 8th..:)

Teenage fall…..

Bliss...

With Valentine round the corner, I am identifying the couples on campus, who shall be writing messages for their loved ones on the scribble board. And will also making economy imperfect due to demand exceeding supply. I remember, last year when I came down for my interview. As we went to cafeteria for lunch, there was a huge notice board near the payment counter. It caught attention. As I went ahead to catch a glimpse, ahem ahem. I was in an odd situation as I was with my brother. We both read a few messages which came straight from heart. And you can guess the stream of thoughts that went through both the minds.

Blogdosts, I am of the opinion that teenage crush or fall is the most involuntary and innocent. There is a charisma that attracts you to the other person. You long for simple things.

a. A glance towards the person in class with eyes meeting at the same time generates butterflies in your stomach.

b. When you are alone you have so many things in your head to share with the person. And you go blank when you have the company. All you do is “smile”.

c. Just a “sms”  or “online status” or compliment from the person makes your day.

d. You are lost every time you hear a song or watch a movie.

e. You keep looking for reasons which are so obvious for anyone to interpret the feelings. In your insanity you feel the world around is equally insane.

The level of innocence keeps dipping as the age keeps growing. You become more materialistic and your feeling more lusty. It’s not a judgement but facts and numbers conform so. It’s only about confrontation.

Blogdosts, everyone has crazy experiences. There are instances which make you burst out of laughter for the stupidity done. While there are also a few which makes you nostalgic. To admit something on this personal space, I have always behaved very pragmatically. There have been instances when I wanted to give in, but my practical senses warned and overpowered. Because they knew it wouldn’t last long. Also I wasn’t anytime prepared for a heart break. I knew I wouldn’t be able to handle the short stands.

As my professor touched the topic of “affairs” in Ethics lecture, he mentioned about temper and temptation deciders of one’s moral strength and self-control. I am thankful to the moral strength embedded in which my family plays the primary role. Few things need not be taught explicitly. You learn them when you’re a child by observing people around you. For me my “Maa” is the epitome of it. Also as I grew, I came across and started relying on a few more special people, whose verdict, I consider final for myself. It’s not blind faith. But it is just that they are wise enough to take selfless decision for me.  If left to me I would take the decision in the other direction and it would be myopic.

Thank you all for holding my hand every time before it got too late.

P.S: Before valentine we have more important date to recollect. Happy Republic Day friends..:)

A day to be forgotten

Illusionary
It's so weird how people react after a goof-up. And this day has been full of eye-brows up expressions from near and far ones and from myself. A day that gave me the smallest possible glimpse of "would be corporate world" where your smallest mistake can build your "downfall".

After years of cherish - able memories attached to this date, i would like to shift-delete it from the diary of this year. But i think it would be wise for me to retain the learning's from it. Unless i trip and fall and get up here, i shall not be able to rise tomorrow. I hope to see myself getting stronger and undeterred.

Love You Maa for cheering me up at the end of an awful day..:)Happy Makar Sankranti..:)

Time of Flying Kites

Being an Andhra localite (not really), this time of the year, is most pleasant in Hyderabad. With winter taking withdrawal after its peak on 14th, the trees, the sky, the birds and the kites, together welcome the spring. I always awaited the Pongal festival. For girls, it's one of the most celebrated, which provides an occasion to get most dressed up. No no no, do not mistaken to think this as my reason for eagerness. I used to be excited for the reason that drove crazy the opposite sex, post new year. Everyday, i use to come back from school, college with eyes glued onto the sky. Any kite which has lost its owner, within my reach, i  would lay my hands on it.

For the past few years, we friends use to get together, for a complete day out. In the evening, i would return tanned after flying kites the whole day.Ofcourse got scoldings from mumma for not helping her out in household activities including rangoli and mehendi. Hehe. People are surprised with my drift towards most of the non-girly activities. But i have always managed to find at least a few girls like me around me.

This 14th of January, I shall miss all the craziness. Its an extremely pleasant site, to watch everyone on their terrace. Ladies doing the honor of holding their guy's charak and serving food to the innumerable guests lined up due to the men in the house. To sleep, you need cotton. As the hooting and the shouts and the music systems are their best and also extends late into the night. It gets on to really competitive, with one apartment, competing with other, with respect to number of kites cut off ( kitne patang kaate: Desi maza alag hai :)

Nevertheless, hoping for a different experience altogether this year. Will get to see how Lohri is celebrated  from the north Indians. Kite festival is suppose to organised every year. And if nothing left, i have old friends joining me in Goa. It's a good time to catch up, with not much hectic schedule ahead.( I hope situation is same till the end of this week too)

P.S: Wishing all my readers an advance Happy Pongal. To my Hyd'badi friends, Happy Sankranti, and miss you all SBG'ians..:)

Cheers

2012 - Thoughts and Desires

Hey there..:) Wishing everyone a very happy and prosperous new year. It’s pretty late I know..:) And again I am back to square one.  Classes have started and so have assignments. I celebrated New Year with my family over dinner and drink and happily bided adieu to another memorable year 2011. This year didn’t have a regular start. Neither did I see the last sunset nor the first sunrise. Ever since I came back from home, things are looking not so positive for me this year.  Lot of hidden fears surfacing for reasons unknown. Having kept low for the initial days, I hope to revive back with lot of optimism. And blogging is one of those ways.

No single Doomsday

So so so. I have always fancied and waited for this year 2012. Mythologists have also marked this year in their calendar. Movies made, pravachans( speeches) given, proofs substantiated to believe the same. I follow brahmakumaris. And in one of the foundation sessions I was told, 2012 shall be a milestone, but not necessarily have one doom day. According to the belief, this year shall mark the beginning of demise of Kaliyug. And then the cycle shall begin again with satyug. They say, not everyone shall die. There shall be people, who shall be alive or may be take rebirth, in Satyug. There shall be richness once again, presence of Kings and queens and lots of that. So start doing some good deeds.

Out of curiosity, what I probed was, everyone preaches to attain moksha. And here we are taught to do things to obtain another birth or a place in satyug. I don’t know if I believe in all of this 100%. But I don’t mind, till the time, it is making me doing some good selfless deeds.

Personal favorite for deeper thoughts

Life seems to be running in a fast forward mode. It was just another day which I called as first day in my room. At the end of this term, I shall have to pack my bags again, for shifting the room. While life is running, the vacancy in heart, of the desired list is increasing. Having watched “The Bucket List”, I wish to create one for myself. I would advise people around also to do the same. The assumption being December 22, 2012 shall be the last day of life on Earth. It need not necessarily have wishes which are beyond convenience and affordability. But yes fulfil all small wishes, for which you always kept waiting for right time or opportunity. This year dedicate completely to fulfilling the long laid desires in heart.  No running after career, study, work, family boundaries. Make mistakes with no regret.  I am tired of listening to the world and worldly orders. Give a damn and mark your footsteps only on the paths where your heart would be pleased to be on. Let us fly like a Free Free Free Bird.

Breaking boundaries:)

No Fear When Life’s End is Standing Right There..:)
